My "Quintessential Collection" of fine art Flower Portraits are my personal favorites. These are the images I have hanging in our home and the ones that have been ordered over and over again by my flower-loving clients all over the world.
"Bleeding Hearts" is one of the first images I photographed on my original Pentax K1000 the summer after I graduated high school! There are foxgloves from Ireland, a begonia from the Butchart Gardens in Victoria BC, roses from New Zealand, a dahlia from San Francisco, hydrangea from Charleston, daffodils from London, peonies and cherry blossoms from Boulder.
Each of my collections was inspired by my own personal journey as an artist, flower lover, woman, human being with a wide-open broken love-filled heart. My flower photography has often been a life line as I search for evidence of beauty, goodness, peace, and stillness in a crazy world. These beautiful curious creatures have smiled back at me as we travel the world and have graciously allowed their portrait to be made. I believe they have their own destinies and are looking for ways to shine beauty and grace into the lives of so many in our world. I invite you to peruse these collections of flowers to see if one in particular is smiling back at you. Love, Regina
